The Beginning of the "New Ween"

This is Ween's transition album. Here, they start to become a lot more mainstream, leaning toward pop-styles of music. Such titles as "Take Me Away" and "A Tear for Eddie" show this pop-like characteristic. This has good and bad effects.
Their new style displays their true musical talent, which probably hadn't been previously known, and is actually quite good. Also, Dean Ween is a very good guitarist, which was a surprise. This is displayed in such songs as "Voodoo Lady".
Their musical talent has many good effects, but I miss the old Ween sometimes. They no longer produce very simple, weird material. Although they still have some trace of it, (or at least try to), like in "Candi" or "The HIV Song".
I would definitely say that this is one of Ween's better albums.
