Product Review

So Far So Good...

by   leicalvr ,   Aug 20, 2007

Pros:  High - tech, solar charging, atomic setting of time.

Cons:  Aluminum Bezel scratches easily.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

I have owned my GW700A for about a week so I can't say much about its long term performance, but initial impressions are good. It is loaded with gadgets. The display is clear and concise - easier to read than other G-Shocks I looked at. I have found the atomic time setting function to be dead on - to the second - when checked against Time.gov website.

Though smoother in shape than most g-shock watches it is still a large watch at over 15mm in height. I have hit it against a couple of door frames when walking by.

The only thing I would change is the metal bezel. I believe it is aluminum which I think is far too soft a metal - it scratches easily. I would have made it out of Stainless Steel.

Mostly, I am pleased. Hope that it continues to perform as it does now. Perhaps, the person in the first posting just had a lemon.
