Author's Review
Having been in to car audio for the last eight years, and watching how things are really changing in the last 2 or so years, I'm glad to have a magazine that can keep up with the changing times.
I have really enjoyed making my best attempt to keep up with the changing world of car audio. Car Audio & Electronics has been a big help in that aspect. I currently buy 3 different car audio magazines and C.A.&E by far blows everybody else away in new technology, tech help, and well written articles. Each review of new equipment has very useable information about what they can do, and if the company specs are comparable to what they state.
Being a consumer of fine car audio magazines, I do have some problems with C.A.E. I like all of the trick cars and trucks, but enough is enough, Car Stereo at least features one real world install in every issue. Systems under $5000, like most average people can afford, I don't feel so small after looking at a weaker system then my own. I would like to think my setup is better than someone else's in a magazine. I've felt better about my $2000 system then some of the cars selected in Car Stereo.
I also would like to see more how to in each magazine, I want to know some of there secrets. If your looking for more how to, check out Auto Sound & Security, it will blow C.A.E. out of the water in that department, that and the girls on the cover are delicious.
If I could have it my way I would combine all three magazines and charge a couple extra bucks, (I'd pay it), wouldn't you?
