CANON PowerShot G10: small powerhouse

Date of Review:  May 15, 2009
The Bottom Line: More powerful than most P&S and a worthy camera when portability rules.
Review: My arsenal recently found a semi-professional addition in the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and while that's currently my workhorse and warranty for high quality pictures, there are situations when the size of that camera is simply limiting or inconvenient...

G10 a compact alternative to a DSLR

Date of Review:  Jun 24, 2009
The Bottom Line: Extremely capable compact a delight to use.  As versatile as a good DSLR, but smaller, lighter and handier.  DSLR image quality at low ISO, but noisy at 400 .
Review: It has been a few years since I last went shopping for a digital camera, and while I was still happy with my Canon PowerShot S50, I was starting to feel limited by its lack of external flash capability.  I was still using my old Nikon film gear for...

IMPRESSIVE! This Is One Amazing Camera...

Date of Review:  Oct 21, 2008
The Bottom Line: Amazing quality.  Performance and speed not seen before.  Rugged.  User-friendly.  A value at twice its price.
Review: I do not plan on listing all of the SPECS here on Epinions about the Canon G10. Go to: http://www.CanonUSA.Com for access to those detailed specs.

I'm going to keep this basic and quick...

I confess I am a previous user of Canon, Nikon...

Canon G10 14.7 megapixel digital camera ....excellent!

Date of Review:  Apr 6, 2009
The Bottom Line: It's relatively expensive, it's big and heavy ... but it is such a good camera!  Just keep your ISO settings below 400 and this camera won't disappoint you.
Review: I recently purchased a new Canon G10 “pocket camera” to replace my aging Olympus C-5050.  The old Olympus offered a “mere” 5 megapixel resolution sensor, while the new Canon sports an incredible 14.7 megapixel resolution!  Before buying the G10, I...

Compact camera for intermediate and advanced users

Date of Review:  Nov 3, 2009
The Bottom Line:

For intermediate and advanced users, esp those who want double a camera as camcorder. Don't buy if you need rotating LCD screen or zooming on video

Review: I bought Canon Powershot G7 three years ago (and wrote a review about it), now it’s time for me to “invest” in a new camera and I chose the Canon Powershot G10. Due to the economic reason, this time I bought a “preowned” G10 from ebay for $350...

Canon PowerShot G10--a versatile and sturdy point-and-shoot

Date of Review:  Jul 9, 2009
The Bottom Line:

Excellent point-and-shoot camera--sturdy, reliable, flexible, nearly SLR quality photos under good conditions; very decent video clips as well

Review: PREFATORY NOTE:  Epinions shows the cheapest price (above) for this camera is $179.99.  That reference is to an eBay ad for an "Accessory Kit" for this camera, NOT this camera.  This camera will rarely be found for under $450 (and generally priced...

Another Step Toward The Perfect Camera

Date of Review:  Jan 15, 2009
The Bottom Line: This camera will grow on you and may very well be the last camera you will ever need to buy because of its abundant features and options.
Review: Introduction

This is the 6th Canon PowerShot G series camera that I have owned since buying the G2 a number of years ago. Each new model has offered improvements from the previous model and a few have removed some nice features that some...

A Canon Dud

Date of Review:  Sep 10, 2009
The Bottom Line: It's not what it appears to be, just like the G11. Canon is in no hurry to make a real tool with the G series.
Review:
Like my G11 review, this will be labeled "Not helpful." But then you never know!

That's too bad and I suspect that there are either serious Canon fans here or people who are monoplizing the Camera reviews here and don't want competition...

Canon G-10 Review

Date of Review:  Jun 23, 2009
The Bottom Line: Buy it - it is worth the money.
Review: I have found the G-10 to be an interesting camera and more portable than my former xti.  Now I would not say it is as versatile as a DSLR, however I think it seems to be a much better "under the radar" kind of camera.  For instance, you can zoom in...

new dial controls are great

Date of Review:  Sep 5, 2009
The Bottom Line: buy it if you donot already own a G9 or similar advanced point and shoot.
Review: The new dial controls are a plus, it makes changing ISO and exposure comp. quick and easy. Other than the dial controls, increased mega pixel size and wider lens, the G10 is not much different than the G9. The G10 inherited the same issues as the...
