Good printer overall but check fax function as soon as you set it up.

The Bottom Line: I would reccomend it because for a machine in this price range it is one of the better options.
Prior to the Canon MX310, I used a Brother machine that should have been pulled off the market it was such a piece of junk...
Everyone kept telling me to get a Canon-That as a brand, Canons are far superior overall to others machines.
So...the shopping began... again...
My SO saw this machine on-line for a deal of a price so we grabbed it. It arrived quickly and was fairly to easy to get up and running.
Easy to setup and program for use. Clear directions for setup.
Ink lasts for large number of copies.
All was great until I got to the fax feature which I could not make work properly and assumed was because I was running it off of a wireless dial tone.
A second call to Canon did not solve the problem and so I assumed that until I got a physical phone line ANY machine would have the same issue.
( I could fax OUT no problem. The issue was/is that when the phone rings for a regular call and I answer it, the fax kicks in also with the high pitched noise, even though the "receive" settings were programmed properly).
I finally decided to keep the machine with the problem was insane and called the THIRD time for advice or a possible exchange credit. The tech rep I talked to in that call knew of the problem, said it was NOT because of my setup and told me they could exchange the machine for a new one-that although he was familiar with the problem-not many have the problem so new one should be just fine!
Hallelujah!
