The safest car seat around
Pros:
Safer, quickly installs, more secure, straps don't tangle
Cons:
Some material patterns are not as durable
The Bottom Line:
It has been worth every extra penny!! It's easier to use and safer than any other I considered. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Author's Review
When I first bought a car seat, I thought that the most important feature to look for was a 5-point harness, so I bought a cheaply priced, 5-point harness system car seat. After 6 months of using it, I discovered that the most important features of a safe car seat are actually the degree of difficulty in installing the car seat in my car, when I travel, and when I transfer it to another car, as well as, a strap system that did not twist and could not be easily undone by the child. After visiting a seat belt check point, where they see if your car seat is installed properly, I decided to make the switch because the seat I had bought was too difficult to install correctly and quickly. If it couldn't be installed quickly, I knew that the likelihood of me doing it consistently was slim. After owning the Britax for 2 years, I know that my daughter is as safe as possible, and it's easy for me to consistently strap her in tightly, unlike my first seat. I decided that saving money on the car seat was not the place to scrimp...afterall, her safety must be worth at least $200.
These are the 10 reasons I bought my Britax:
1) built-in clips on both sides to securely hold the seat belt strap so it can be installed quickly on either side of the car
2) velcro to hold 5-point harness system in the open position for easy entry and exit
3) attached bag to hold tether straps and hook
4 hard styrafoam (like a bike helmet) packed into seat frame for extra safety in a crash (I found no other seat that had this!)
5) buckle on the top of the harness system instead of a clip
6) more heavily padded seat cover, especially around the head
7) easily removeable seat cover
8) some seat covers are made of highly wipeable materials (crushed velvet covers), and durable (blue jean)
9) seat reclines
10) goes from rear facing for infants up to 40 pounds front facing for toddlers
