Peace of mind, at a price

The Bottom Line: Buy it and don't look back! The safety is worth it.
Britax products have always meant peace of mind for our family. We got a Husky several years ago when a friend found a closeout price on an unpopular color. When we were in a car accident, the insurance company agreed to buy the upgrade--the Regent. While my car was being fixed, I had to install the brand-new Regent into the Toyota Solara rental car, with LATCH. *Man*, now I wish I'd bought a car with LATCH! I could *not* believe how easy it was to install, compared to the long-path seatbelt install. Easy-peasy, and rock solid!
I love this seat. It's wide, comfy, has pockets, and several belt slots. Installing it takes a fair amount of patience, unless your kid is of the weight specified for short-belt path. I'm so happy that it's my *last* carseat to buy. We managed to get the Cougar print cover, which is no longer available. The Onyx cover has the same velour trim, but the part your kid sits on is sort of a slick nylon, which may be easy for cleanup. I find the Madison cover charming, and the Sahara's pretty handsome, too.
Adjusting the belt length is fairly simple with a front belt pull that is covered by a velcroed flap, and not easily adjusted by your kid (important for those early low-impulse-control years).
Overall, very, very happy with this seat. IMPORTANT: Read the installation manual carefully. The correct use of the recline bar and short- and long-path installs is even misunderstood by carseat techs!
