Highly recommended - durable and easy to use

We purchased this car seat after much research on safety and durability. Despite the higher than normal cost of a Britax convertible car seat, we decided to purchase 2 (one for my 2 door Honda civic and one for my husbands full size truck). We are still completely satisfied with our purchase.

We have had these seats for almost a year with daily use it still provides great comfort to our child and looks brand new. It is very easy to adjust the straps to variable heights as your child grows and is easily accessible from the front of the seat. The Marathon is very easy to clean for those little spills that sometimes happen. Although we have not actually washed the cover, a wet washcloth will usually do the trick for any small spills or crumbs. I also like the fact the straps have "removable protectors" close to the face to prevent infants/children from chewing/biting on the straps. I feel totally comfortable traveling with my 19 month old in this seat especially with the 5 point harness holding him securely in place.

My only concern with the purchase of this over sized car seat was if it would fit in my 2 door compact car. The answer is yes, it did, but only in the forward facing position. I found it to be too difficult to have my child rear facing (in the middle position of my back seat) and be able to easily get him in and out of the car.

Despite the problem we encountered with this over sized car seat, I cannot say enough good about it and I would recommend this product to ANY new mother deciding on a convertible seat.
