Same as the others - poor performance

The Bottom Line: Don't buy.
Review: I was quite surprised to read the previous reviews, because I found it hard to believe that my 90 dollar kettle that has just broken down after 18 months was not a one-off defect, but a fundamental design flaw.

No boil out protection?

The Bottom Line: I love the kettle because it holds any temperature you want. I worry about it failing.
Review: The instructions say "DO NOT allow liquid to evaporate from kettle. DO NOT heat kettle when empty. Always unplug the power base and empty the kettle when not in use." There must be a reason. Great kettle. Follow the instructions.

Review: I bought this kettle basically for the temperature control and hold features and they are very convenient. Having hot water at the ready is very nice for weekend mornings when we never how many cups of tea or coffee will be required to get moving...

Review: I bought the Bravetti Model EK119B "Professional" kettle from Canadian Tire because I was excited about the "hold water temperature" feature. Unfortunately the kettle stopped working afer a day or two and the LED temperature readout setting...
