Once you meet Boroleum it will be your friend for life. It's always there to comfort you and never lets you don't and it can always be at your side. No really, it's the kind of product that you will use and recommend for the rest of your life.
A co-worker suggested I get Boroleum to heal up my nose. I was suffering from a really bad cold and my nose was red and raw on the outside and dry and cracking on the inside. I looked and felt gross so I decided to go buy it.
For some reason people that work at the drugstores have never heard of Boroleum and they will tell you they don't carry it. Don't believe them. Go directly to the pharmacy counter to purchase it because that is where the stores stock it. Sometimes even the people at the pharmacy check-out give you a blank stare and you have to point it out to them. See it? It's the white box with blue writing on the back shelf? I suggest you buy two tubes. First, it is often sold out. I don't know if that is because it is under-stocked or if the Boroleum fans are stock piling it. Second, you will find so many uses for it, you will not want to be caught without it.
The first time I opened the box and looked at the aluminum tube and smelled it I thought that it looked really old-fashioned and that inspired confidence. I figured it wouldn't still be around if it didn't work. And it works on anything far better than petroleum jelly. It took care of that raw, red nose and since then I use it every time I have a cold. I rub a little on the outside and insides of my nostrils and all around my lips. I use it as a cuticle cream and on my earlobes in the winter to prevent chapping. In the winter I slather it all over the back of my hands. It's a great lip balm because it stays put and is glossy. To me it has a subtle minty medicinal smell, like something your grandmother would have pulled out of her medicine cabinet.
I honestly don't know why it's not well known or why a doctor has never recommended it to me. It makes the common cold easier to endure and helps soothe skin irritations. Keep it on hand. You will use it.
