Third book is a charm!
Date of Review: Nov 17, 2008
Another fantastic fanasty by Mr. Paolini! Who doesn't love an author that can pull you into their heart and mind to give the reader such a vivid representation of a world that only exists only in their imagination? This was one of those novels where words blurred behind the minds eye and a tug was felt when I was snapped back to reality. As always a little bit of...I will say disappointment...stirred everytime I realized the amount of pages yet to be read was growing smaller and smaller. I hate it when a such a good book must come to and end.
The only faulty thing I can say about this book is that I did not understand the authors reasons for flip flopping back and forth between Eragon's and Roran's stories...I imagine is was to impart some the trials of the Varden but that could have been done without straying so much from the main charactor. Perhaps there will be redemptions for this in the next novel? Which I am very much looking forward to!
