Review:
How does one review a classic? Especially one so noteworthy as to have demanded the creation of 11 or more film variations, numerous adaptations, and even television series? I long avoided reading this novel due mainly to it s daunting size, and... |

Pros: Imaginative and engaging, this book remains a great read time after time.
Cons: Melodramatic, the length and complex style of writing can turn off some.
The Bottom Line: Some classics are classics for a reason. Dumas is as readable now as he was when he first wrote his novels.

Review: If revenge is a dish best served cold, then Alexandre Dumas must have been able to whip up a mean gazpacho as well. "The Count of Monte Cristo", along with "The Three Musketeers" helped propel the author into the air of Victor Hugo and Honroe de...
