An Interesting Work

Mitch Albom has done it again in his newest work. I purchased this product because I read "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" and found it quite enjoyable. In his work "For One More Day," Albom explores death and the afterlife in a novel manner. Each chapter is a surprise; the reader cannot predict where the story will go next. The work explores a man’s feelings of worthlessness and depression. These negative feelings accumulated over the years, and finally the man decided to commit suicide. However, things did not go quite as planned. I finished this work the day I began reading it. It was a page-turner and left me satiated by the last page. By the end, I felt that I was walking away a bit more knowledgeable. Life is much too short to simply take for granted. Mitch Albom captures this theme repeatedly in each of his works. I would recommend this work to all, because death touches all eventually. Coming to terms with death is important, and Albom helps his readers get there with his poignant tales of what if. In this case, the man was reunited with his mother for an entire day, and his entire perspective on life changed. Read the book, and see if your perspective on life will change as well!
