False Memory by Dean Koontz Just Didn't Ring True

Date of Review:  Aug 24, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you've never read Koontz' books, or only read a few, you will probably enjoy this book. Avid readers of his books, may feel like they've read it before.
Review: Dean Koontz and Stephen King have always been in competition to be my favorite author. I think after reading this book, King definitely took the lead.

False Memory is a book that left me feeling like I had bought a book that I'd read...

Find Out Why Martie Was Afraid of Herself in False Memory

Date of Review:  Sep 24, 2001
The Bottom Line: False Memory is a great book that is worth reading. Koontz fans should enjoy it.
Review: A few years ago I was telling a friend about a book I had just read and really enjoyed. He told me that the plot sounded similar to some books by Dean Koontz, and suggested I try some of his books since I liked the book I was talking about so much...

What You Don't Know - Can Kill You

Date of Review:  Jul 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: A psychological thriller that will leave you wanting more after each page. Sure to please Dean Koontz fans.
Review: Having recently completed the best selling novel - False Memory - by Dean Koontz, this reader was instantly taken aback by Koontz' ability to create such believable characters behind a surreal and terrifying plot.

I won't remember much of Dean Koontz's False Memory

Date of Review:  May 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: Read it if you love Koontz and have a great ability to suspend your disbelief. I ll recommend it on those very limited terms.
Review: I enjoy most of Dean Koontz's novels, but had a hard time getting through False Memory without rolling my eyes so much I gave myself a headache. I read an interview Mr. Koontz gave where he said he was first afraid he wouldn t be able to make this...

Much more than a "False Memory"

Date of Review:  Jul 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: Overall, I found the book to be quite entertaining, very intense, and suspenseful.
Review: *Note: This review was one of the first reviews that I had written when I began at epinions around June of 2001. I have recently revised it because I was just not happy with it. Thank you to those that had rated it in it?s first version.

False Memory - Not a Memorable Book at All

Date of Review:  Mar 4, 2001
The Bottom Line: False Memory could have been a really good book. Koontz simply couldn't pull it off.
Review: What if an author of a book that you reviewed on Epinions didn?t like your review? Would he attempt to exact revenge? Would he try to kill you and your entire family? Probably not. But he might.

What about me? What if I don?t like the way...

Great Psychological Thriller

Date of Review:  Mar 4, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you liked Koontz's other novels, chances are you may like this one.

Extremely well written, a highly recommended book, however there were minor drawbacks. Prior to reading this book I had read 3 other books by Koontz, A Key To Midnight, Dragon Tears, and Intensity, all of which I really enjoyed. So...

Scary as Hell (write - off)

Date of Review:  Sep 13, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is the first Dean Koontz book I've read. It certainly won't be the last. Oh yeah, and it was scary as Hell.
Review: Imagine this:

Your best friend has Agoraphobia. This means that she is afraid to go outside of her apartment. Twice a week you have to drive over to her apartment, pick her up, and drag her to see her psychiatrist, Dr. Ahriman.

False Memory -- a Memorable Read

Date of Review:  Apr 15, 2000
Review: I've never considered Dean Koontz a very good writer. Now don't get me wrong -- I'm an avid Koontz fan, and I've probably read 90% of the books he's authored. But in my experience, there are good writers, and there are good storytellers, and rarely...
