Firemen Who Actually Start Fires!

Date of Review:  Nov 22, 1999
Review: Fahrenheit 451 is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. It is very deep and will make you think long after you have finished it. A mix between sci fi and fantasy, Bradbury takes you into the next millenium, where books are no longer...

The burning question...

Date of Review:  Feb 5, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is a classic science fiction novel about censorship in the future. The Firemen burn the books. Go figure...must read.
Review: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury was first printed in 1953. Bradbury wrote this sci-fi book about censorship in 1941. My new classic paperback edition cost $6.99 U.S. at the local big-box store chain.

Plot: I don't like to give away details...

Date of Review:  May 8, 2001
The Bottom Line: Read this again to remember why you're a human being and why you love books. It will bring out the best in you and make you feel and think.
Review: SF is Idea Literature. Fahrenheit 451 is a classic because of its idea. It falls into a range of social satire softened and warmed with Bradbury's deep, poetic awareness of human nature. SF from this era was almost totally optimistic and Progress...

Review: As a high school student this book often appeared on my reading lists. 451 is now one of my favorite books, and I generally do not like what we are encouraged to read in class. This book is interesting and very serious, it is a warning to future...

Review: I have read the book Fahrenheit 451 two times. The first time that I read the book I hated. I didn't understand why it was written the way it was. The second time I read it I was able to understand what was going on better and why certain things...
