On Fire With Fahrenheit-Don't Burn This Book

Date of Review:  Sep 26, 2005
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this book because of the great writing and important message. This was exiting book that I couldn't put down!
Review: Guy Montag is a fireman in the future, that sets fires instead of putting them out! His job is to burn illegal books in a world where knowledge is the enemy. His wife, Mildred, is boring and does nothing but watch t.v. with "the family" all day. But...

Farenheit 451: A Must Read (Edited 7/10/01)

Date of Review:  Dec 12, 1999
The Bottom Line: One of Bradbury's best. A must read for every book lover.
Review: *****Edited July 10, 2001*****

I have read and re-read this book numerous times. It is one of Mr. Bradbury's best novels ever. You can sympathize with the main character throughout. It tells a fantastic story about what can happen with...

Another Great Bradbury Story

Date of Review:  Oct 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: This is a great book by Bradbury, he gives his opinion on censorship. This book is good for anyone of any age.
Review: I am personally a big fan of all of Ray Bradbury's stories. All of his stories find some ways to ridicule our society or to show his opinion on how technology has or will ruin us. This book in certain ridicules how bad censorship will be in the...

1 HOT book

Date of Review:  Apr 9, 2000
Review: This book is about a fireman named Guy Montag, who burns books, instead of fighting fires and such.

Beneath the surface, the book deals with issues such as censorship, patterns of society, and other issues that concern us today. This book...

Fahrenheit 451- A Glimpse into the Structure of a Society

Date of Review:  May 2, 2001
The Bottom Line: Fahrenheit 451 offers a lesson that no one should ever forget about the role of government, the role of knowledge, and essentially, the role of individualism.
Review: Rarely in the world of fiction does an author attempt, much less be successful, at delving into the world of philosophy and the internal workings of society. However, Ray Bradbury, author of the great novel "Fahrenheit 451", has managed to do all of...

A Novel with Flare

Date of Review:  May 5, 2001
The Bottom Line: This is a fantastic fiction story. It has great characters in it and is wonderfully written.
Review: I really enjoyed this book. If you read it, be ready to ponder things about society that most people would never think of. The idea that firemen start fires instead of put them out is very appealing. I found the main character, Montag, to be a...

Ray Bradbury delivers an amazing fantasy!

Date of Review:  Oct 29, 2000
Review: Ray Bradbury is often times considered the master of "fantastic science fiction". This book delivers a pretty powerful wallop, and stretches the mind a bit making us think what, really, the world would be like without books.

In Bradbury's...
