Just when you thought Calvin and Hobbes were no more...

Date of Review:  Dec 10, 2001
The Bottom Line: This book is essential to complete your collection- though you may have the strips in other collections, the commentary makes it all worthwhile.
Review: Just when you thought Calvin and Hobbes were no more

It was a sad day in 1996 when Calvin and Hobbes was put to rest. It was sadder still when new books stopped coming off the presses. But, at last there is another Calvin and Hobbes...

No Collection is Complete without Calvin and Hobbes!

Date of Review:  Jan 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: Calvin and Hobbes is a great book, and can always be looked upon as a funny and fun book.
Review: "Hello, dad. It is now three in the morning. Do you know where I am?" This is just typical for Calvin, a hyperactive and slightly insane six year old up to his old tricks again to try and create some humor with his parents

Calvin and...

Why is it that I can recall a cigarette ad jingle from 25 years ago, but I can't remember what I just got up to do?

A Boy's Imagination

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2000
Review: One of the thing I like most about this strip was how Calvin would
sometimes get his imagination confused with reality. I remember one
strip in particular where he and Hobbes find a magic carpet. They fly the carpet to his Dad's office...

Stuffed with fun, not newsprint reruns

Date of Review:  Mar 29, 2001
The Bottom Line: I was so enthralled and I didn't even think I was that big a Calvin fan. You can't go wrong with this book!
Review: Bill Watterson is one of a small group of cartoonists who explains a lot about his strip and the characters. This book gives him a great chance to expand on that. He uses various strips to illustrate the evolution of this very popular comic.

A retrospective, 10 Years of Calvin and his Tiger

Date of Review:  Dec 10, 1999
Review: Ever since Calvin and Hobbes came on the scene, I've pretty much followed them weekly in the Sunday newspapers to see what adventures Calvin and his stuffed tiger were up to next. Then, sometime in 1995, there came the last Sunday edition of Calvin...

The Best Comic In History

Date of Review:  Jun 26, 2000
Review: By far Watterson is a master of his domain. He hits on so man aspects of child hood that I would guess he is the type that is just a big kid. Throughout the everything about this comic and its characters just fit togethor. The girl that Calvin likes...

Review: I recently got the idea from writing an epinion on Calvin Hobbes, my Favourite comic strip in the world! I must say, I read Garfield, Foxtrot, Close to Home, and Herman, but Calvin and Hobbes is the most humourous and entertaining comic strip.
