Anyway, much to my "surprise" I was presented with a Bissell Spot Lifter this past Christmas. This small rechargeable machine has been a homemaker's dream come true! I love it!

The Spot Lifter weighs about 3-5 pounds (I'm guessing here - don't quote me!) and has easy-to-remove containers -- one on the front for the yucky, dirty water, and one on the back for the solution and water. The Solution container is clearly marked with how much cleaner to put in and then how much water to add. They pop back on the machine easily and has wonderful screw-in stoppers so they won't leak.

The machine can be hung on the wall or sit on a shelf while charging. The charger is just a small plug that goes into the back of the machine and plugs into any normal wall socket.

I have used this machine at least 10 - 15 times since I received it as a gift. I have two small children and they inevitably spill everything! Now I don't have to lug out the big carpet cleaner or scrub with soap and water. I just grab my handy-dandy Spot Lifter and within a minute, the spot is lifted! First I use the vacuum part to suck up any liquid and then I give it a good spray of the cleaner and then I suck that up. That's all there is to it! I must admit that I haven't tried it on any dried stains, only fresh ones. My carpets are staying clean longer now that I can attack these small spills immediately.

The best part about this machine is that you can leave the soap/water in it for the next use and just replace when necessary. I do empty the dirty water and rinse out that container after every use, but that takes less than a minute to do.

I highly recommend this product to everyone, whether you have children or not. It would be great for any person that has carpets!
