A fun, effective work out
Pros:
Fun way to lose weight, get fit, and feel good about yourself!
Cons:
I don't care for the 5th dvd, the Live Version.
The Bottom Line:
I highly recommend Billy Blanks TaeBo Amped! You won't get bored and you will feel so good about yourself after you finish the workout.

I have been doing Billy Blanks Tae Bo for about a year now. I will admit that his older tapes are much more advanced and is so advanced that I have to stop to take a breather.
The TaeBo amped is actually fun and does work the abs, arms, and legs very well. You will see definition in these areas after a short time of using the DVD's.
5 full length workouts are included in this package, along with an 'amplifier'. The amplifier is a weighted (3 pounds) bar that can be used with the workouts.
I do like in these workouts that half the group are using the amplifier and the other have aren't. Billy does recommend doing the workouts a few times without the bar until you are more comfortable and I am assuming, know the steps.
The first dvd Jump Start Cardio is 41 minutes. It does have a nice amount of cardio and using the amplifier adds to the intensity of the workout.
The 2nd dvd is Fat Burn Accelerator. The 3rd is Full Throttle at 55 minutes. You will sweat with these workouts, even if you are in a cold room!
The 4th dvd is Core Express. It's only 31 minutes and it works mostly your core. Not much cardio to this one but your abs will thank you for remembering them;) I like this one when I don't have much time, but I don't want to skip a workout.
I will admit that I have never used the 5th dvd, Live In LA (43min). I personally don't like the live workouts. There's too many people without enough room to really get in a good cardio workout. So I don't use this dvd.
Everyone still looks very buff and fit in these dvd's. Shelley's abs are a little bit softer, since she had recently given birth, but she still has abs I would love to have.
Billy does slow down through out the dvd's to do some strength training. He still wants to get rid of your 'gobble gobble' arms. Just using the amplifier will do that. You can really tell the difference when using the amplifier in these workouts. I have been known to put it down and finish the workout. It's better to do the workout without the bar, than not do it at all!
If you aren't new to Tae Bo then nothing about these dvd's will surprise you, other than the tightness in your arms from using the amplifier.
The music is better and attitudes are better. Everyone really seems to be having fun, while they get there bodies in shape.
