Warmer, softer, fuzzier, and better sounding then your average puppy

Date of Review:  Sep 6, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you've got the money, buy them. If you don't have the money, save up for them, then buy them. I promise you won't be disappointed with your purchase.
Review: I need to start with a small preface, I love sound, I'm obsessed with it, and I listen to sound all day and all night on all different speakers and TV's and car systems. Due to my audiophile nature it is very possible there are things that would...

A wonderful set of German-quality sealed headphones

Date of Review:  Jan 6, 2006
The Bottom Line: If you can come up with $150, this will probably be the best sound and quality for the money. I cannot praise these enough.
Review: I used to have big bulky Sony MDR-V600 studio monitor headphones, and I thought they had a pretty decent sound that was rich in bass and crystal clear in the highs. But then I managed to break the plug on those in an airplane and figured it's time I...

High Fidelity Comfort

Date of Review:  Jan 5, 2000
Review: The Beyer DT-250 headphones are a good choice as an entry level high-end head phone, offering high-fi sensitivity, wide dynamic range (10 Hz to 30,000 Hz), and a remarkably comfortable cushion and head band, as well as a simply stated professional...

DJ'n and portable playin'

Date of Review:  Aug 31, 1999
Review: The DT250 is a very good choice for anyone looking for isolation, durability and good sound. They are 80 ohms and efficient so just about anything will power them including portable players. However, use of a headphone amp is helpful and recommended...

Great sound and comfort!

Date of Review:  Dec 20, 2002
The Bottom Line: Still using the earbuds that came with your discman? Do yourself a favor and invest in these phones ? your ears will thank you.
Review: Once you graduate from the stock headphones that came with your portable CD player, you begin to realize how good music can really sound. I'm a student and don't have a lot of money to spend on fancy stereo equipment, so investing in a decent set of...

The best it's own specific class

Date of Review:  Oct 18, 2002
The Bottom Line: Detailed, non-fatiguing sound. Tough as nails, no BS design. Works with portable devices. Might be your best possible option.
Review: I love these headphones. I bought them as an upgrade to Grado SR-60s, initially because I needed isolation (sound blocking) but I quickly fell in love with the sound.
These are not "sparkly" sounding headphones. They don't sound dead either,...

Beyer DT 250 vs. Sennheiser HD 25

Date of Review:  Jan 8, 2004
The Bottom Line: For those wanting great sealed headphones, these fit the bill but consider the more expensive Sennehiser HD 25s. Perfect for music producing in noisy environments.
Review: I use headphones for composing music on a notebook PC while riding public transit. I was looking for great sound, the highest durability, efficiency (needed for notebook amps), portability, and high isolation of outside noise (closed design). After...

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a closed Headphone with near to perfect sound reproduction for live concerts and other recordings - you will not be disappointed.
Review: I am a fan of Heavy Metal to Jazz and everything in-between. I have to say, there is nothing that will beat the sound of Smooooooth Jazz through a pair of Grado's, 325's and up. But every now and then I like to throw on Judas Priest "Live from...

Good sound, doesn't disturb those around me

Date of Review:  Dec 7, 1999
Review: My Grado SR60s sounded great, but they bugged everyone around me. They're designed that way; they leak sound. So my quest was for closed headphones that sounded as good as my Grados, for under $200. These Beyers are it.

Very good sound,...
