The best hidden secret in low priced amplification!

I just wanted to write a quick review, and "ditto" just about everything everyone else said here.

The Audio Source Amp Two is a KILLER amp for the money, without question. I just got mine today, and my buying choice was based very much on the steller reviews this amp has received.

I have been using my Pioneer "Vintage" Spec 1 Pre Amp and Spec 4 Power Amp in my home/project studio for monitoring since buying them new in 1980. The Spec 4 started just recently to having some problems, so before she went south on me, I decided to replace her with something a bit smaller, yet still powerful enough and CLEAN enough to give me a clear, uncluttered sound for monitoring my DAW multi-track rig. I am running three different sets of speakers with this, a set of Alesis Monitor Ones, a set of Cerwin Vega bookshelves and another set of JBL bookshelves that I use as different monitoring methods.
I just have to say that the Amp Two is a clean unit, and it sounds amazing. The Spec 4 was pushing 150 watts per channel, and with this 80 watt unit, it sounds as good, and perhaps even a bit better! I like the fact that I still have analog VU meters to watch, and the Auto On/Off feature on this amp is another big bonus. How many of us have gone to bed after a hard day in the studio and forget to turn the amp off? I know I have.
Anyway, it's a great piece of equipment that I expect to have in my studio for a long time to come. I don't know if I will get 23 years of service out of it like my old Pioneer friends, but I paid not even half the amount of money for it! In fact I am thinking of adding another one, bridging them in MONO for each channel. That would be 200 Watts per side, and still be only two thirds of the price of my original Spec 4 back in 1980!
