Author's Review
I felt an urge to report to everyone on the 1999 Audi A6 2.8 Avant Quattro. I am the owner of a Tornado Red wagon with Onyx Black interior. This vehicle has so much to offer anyone wanting a sports car but needing the hauling capacity of a sport ute. I am a salesman. My car is my second home. It houses more papers and client information than my home office. However, I crave the need for something sporty on the road. My A6 Avant gives me the best of both worlds. It looks mighty sporty with my bike and ski rack attached to the top. And, I am able to transport everything I need to make a client presentation.
I read the JD POWER reports before purchasing this vehicle. It wasn't a great recommendation by any means for long term ownership. Fortunately, I followed my own instinct and set out to prove those reports wrong (because it was so darn unique). I did! My Audi has been one of the best vehicles ever. After switching from a Mercedes 4-matic wagon, I discovered I could have my cake and eat it, too! These cars are fun, stylish, accommodating, and long lasting. The thrill I get from driving this car is comparable to the thrill I got the first time I got behind the wheel of my first car! The seats are comfortable, cupholders are everywhere, and the cargo net in the back keeps work materials secure. After 5 years and 50,000 miles, my Avant (wagon) still looks new inside and out! Kudos to Audi for not giving up on the US market after the 1980's.
