Product Review

Atari 2600- not much to it

by   garfield135 ,   Aug 10, 2008

Pros:  Fun, nostalgic factor.

Cons:  Simplistic games.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

There really isn't much to this system, so this will be a short review.
The system- The 2600 is a big console, bigger then the NES.
The controller- Just a stiff joystick with a button. I prefer to use the Sega Genesis controller.
The games- The Atari has a nice selection of games, games like Pac-man ( It really isn't THAT bad ) E.T. ( Again, the pits are really annoying, but it's bearable ) Defender, Phoenix, Night Driver, and more.
Other- The graphics really bite. Like take Pac-man. Basically just blobs for Pac-man and the ghosts, and lines for the... walls. Also, to start many games, you have to operate switches on the system itself.
Conclusion- The Atari 2600 is a fun system and a good addition to a collection, but make sure you have many games, because they are simplistic and can get boring quick.
