A must have for nursing moms!

Date of Review:  Aug 30, 2001
The Bottom Line: I love this bed because it is the safest way to co sleep. I would not use it for any other purpose than co sleeping though.
Review: I have a 6 week old daughter and I just wish I'd had this bed when I had my son. It makes these first few weeks so much easier. There are some cons, but they far outweigh the pro's so I'll start with my dislikes...

1) Before I bought it, I...

Nursing Mother's Dream

Date of Review:  Jan 19, 2000
Review: The Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper (original) kept our baby by our side during the night, but also allowed her to have her own space. I could just reach over when she was ready to nurse and then place her down again to return to sleep.

We used...

The perfect bed

Date of Review:  Jul 23, 2007
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this product to anyone! 5 children have used mine!!
Review: I loved this, it was worth every penny. All three of my kids used this co-sleeper, as did two of my nephews. It sounds as though the first reviewer has many other issues if the baby is crying and screaming at all times, probably isn't the bed.

Can be helpful for high-needs babies and their parents

Date of Review:  May 22, 2001
The Bottom Line: The co-sleeper's usefulness to you will depend on your baby's personality. Some parents will find it highly convenient; some babies will refuse to sleep in it.
Review: Our first clue that Liam was not going to simply sleep quietly came on the second night of his life. Regardless of how tired the little fella was, he absolutely, categorically refused to lay down in his hospital bassinette. The only way that he...

Used it maybe five times

Date of Review:  Apr 25, 2001
The Bottom Line: Sounds great but not in fact useful.
Review: OK here's the thing. I bought this because I was sure it would be great, I mean what could be better, with the baby right there, but not in the bed with us getting squashed. I thought the baby wouldn't fit in the bed with us since it already felt...

Awesome Product for Mothers of New Babies

Date of Review:  Sep 8, 2000
Review: The Arm's Reach Bedside Co-Sleeper was one of the first things we purchased - in fact, we bought it, along with an infant car seat, the day that I went into preterm labor.* We knew that we wanted to have Alex sleep by us while he was an infant, and...

Parents likes it more than baby does

Date of Review:  Aug 2, 2003
The Bottom Line: Baby may not like. Expensive for how it's often used (bedside table or bedrail). Don't consider it a sure investment -- it's a gamble that's great if it pays off.
Review: I still think this is a brilliant idea -- I just wish my baby agreed with me. I got it thinking that it would be nice to more or less co-sleep (have baby close, easy night feedings, etc) but still have the bed for me and my husband. I imagined...

A novel, awesome invention!

Date of Review:  Jun 8, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you have decided to co-sleep with your baby, and you are worried about safety, this is the product for you.
Review: Peruse any parenting magazine, website, reference book these days and you'll find the question:

Where should my baby sleep?

In the parenting world, the debate over where the best place for an infant to call his bed rages on. On...

Arm's Reach = the perfect distance

Date of Review:  Mar 9, 2007
The Bottom Line: Some minor kinks and a bit pricey, but a good product overall; especially helpful for those extremely tiring first few months -- the convenience saves you some much-needed energy!
Review: Before our baby was born we had already decided that we'd want her sleeping in our room, but we were concerned about the dangers of true co-sleeping. Based on various friends' recommendations, we bought the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper, and we've found it...

Best of both worlds

Date of Review:  Jan 16, 2007
The Bottom Line: I like this as the perfect best of cosleeping but seperate sleeping
Review: Never thought there was a need for the "other" world. Keeping baby seperate that is. Cosleeping was the perfect solution to get more sleep for a nursing mom at night. My first 2 transitioned fine to their own beds. But seeing as my 2 yr old is still...
