PC Convert Loves Mac!

This was our first Mac, our first laptop and our first stress-free computer experience. We learned about Mac after our fourth PC crashed....yet again. The Mac takes some getting used to, however it is very easy to adapt to and is more than worth the time you may invest learning it's system. There are a lot of great features and programs built in that really simplify each task whether surfing the web or finding documents. We also love the security it provides. We have been virus and problem free since we got it (14 months ago) and we haven't even installed any virus protection/firewall software! I can't recommend it enough. It does run warm, however, I have heard from many sources that this is common with all laptops. We purchased the RainDesign iLap Notebook Stand ($49.95 from the Apple Store) and have never had an issue with heat or overheating. We really like iKlear for keeping the screen clean. I do wish that the internal speakers were louder overall, but we're able to connect it easily to our other speakers. I'm really unsure about the 1 star ratings by some users...we're not "techies" by any stretch of the word and we've found this to be one of the easiest and most gratifying transitions we've ever made.
