great size, rugged, limited controls

I must say that I started using this Ipod shuffle kicking and screaming all the way but after a few sessions with it, I find myself taking it along wherever I go.  I walk from work everyday and I find this an essential companion for the trek.  It was given to me as a gift and it sat on my shelf for several months before I had the bright idea to learn Czech and German with it (functionally, it was a great idea, but you know how hard it is to learn Czech, let alone walking in traffic?!).  On the trip to Europe I had relaxation music on it to help me zone out on the flight over.  The smaller size is perfect for traveling!  Now that I am back in the states, I have my walking music on it.

Several things confuse me about using this little wonder.  One of them is the Itunes program.  I sort of figured out how to use it via trial and error and never really read any instructions.  There are still many things I would like to learn about the program, but tend to postpone trying to answer all my questions.

One thing I do not understand is the led color for charging the unit.  The webpage says one thing but I see a different pattern when I dock it to my laptop.  So I am never really sure when it is completely charged (and man, I really hate to be walking home and it die on me).
