Apple's new iMac is simply the finest computer with which I have ever worked. First, it is simply beautiful! It is like a work of art in your office or other computer space. Secondly, it uses space better than any desktop I have ever seen.
As a computer, the display is incredible! The image quality is by far the clearest, crispest computer display I have ever sen and I am around computers all day, every day. I work with Macs and PCs. I am constantly amazed that anyone would purchase anything other than a Mac.
The keyboard on the iMac is also revolutionary as is the mouse. The software suite is thorough, complete and so easy to use. And Apple offers so many other marvelous services such as .Mac that they have elevated the computer experience from simply a tool to use to a total service commitment.
The iLife software package is outstanding and it is so easy to use. And the Apple Store in our area offers free classes regularly scheduled on how to use the software included as standard equipment. Further, the Apple Store offers one-on-one expert assistance and training through their Apple Genius Support system in the store. Whether you have an appointment or not, they are ready and willing to answer your questions and to give you outstanding advice on how to get the most out of your iMac experience.
Overall, the iMac is simply part of a total Apple customer-focused and customer driven experience. They are so good that I now have four Macs in my home, all networked and all feeding into my single .Mac account which automatically backs up all of my valuable work every early morning at 2:01 AM. The .Mac feature also allows me to access my desktop from anywhere in the world without lugging along a computer. Amazing!
Apple has thought of everything. They have taken computing to the next level and have done so in a user-friendly manner with the most reliable computer equipment made. They are a bit pricey but as the old adage goes, "You get what you pay for."
