Must for Matrix fans....unique for the general consumer

The Bottom Line: If you love Anime, this DVD is top notch. Matrix fans should not miss out on seeing the shorts created specifically by the Matrix Directors.
I bought this after seeing the free shorts on the website.
The quality on this DVD is superb. Audio is truly 5.1 for most of the shorts.
I really enjoyed the different approaches and techniques the directors used. I've never watched Anime before, and found most of it to be enjoyable.
I highly recommend the first 4 video shorts. Both excellent animation and true to the Matrix universe.
The first 4 deal with the story most directly. You have the rise and fall of mankind, and how they got linked to the machines. You have the backstory of "the kid" from Matrix Reloaded, and the direct preview story to Reloaded with the Flight of Osirius.
The remaining shorts are ideas based on the the Matrix, but don't directly link to the overall story arc. They may add some to the myth, but I did not find them to be fun to watch on repeat viewing.
Some shorts are more abstract, and if you don't have an open mind you probably won't like them. This may just be a rentable for some, but it's worth watching. I find it to be a unique addition to my DVD library.
