Author's Review

I purchased the Jenny Lind Cradle over 6 years ago while expecting my son. I chose it because it matched the crib I had chosen and I didn't want a bassinet, I wanted a cradle. I really liked this but got very little use out of it, through 3 kids. I liked the simplicity of it. It was a simple design, with no frills yet beautiful. I found things I liked and things I didn’t. I loved how it rocked so easily. I could put my son in it, and later my other children, and with just a little bit of push it would rock for quite some time. I loved the locking pin. If I wasn’t awake and near the cradle I always put in the locking pin. It made me more comfortable with my children being in the cradle. The mattress it came with was thinner than most cradle mattresses I’ve seen and I did end up replacing it because it seemed so uncomfortable. The big thing I wasn’t thrilled with was its size compared to a basinet. No newborn is ever going to use nearly that much space in the short time the cradle is useful. All in all, this is great if you want your baby to room in with you, but if you want them in a separate room I would just stick with using the crib from day one.
