Author's Review
What can I honestly say about Almas Del Silencio? Well, to start with, saying that its a very good album is definitely an understatement. Yes, its THAT gooda brilliant album. The best album from Ricky Martin, in my humble opinion. Having listened to the 13 tracks in this new album, one has to conclude that Ricky Martin is indeed a special singer who is able to, without any doubt, transmit his feelings through his voice. In addition to the wonderful voice of Ricky Martin, the overall production of the album by Tommy Torres is also worth mentioning in making this album one which is surely to be remembered for a long time. And yes, while the album is fully in Spanish, this should not be a deterrent for music lovers but instead, an opportunity for all of us to appreciate the beauty of the Spanish language behind the captivating songs (translating the songs through the internet or a small Spanish dictionary would help).
I can just go on and on praising this album but describing it and experiencing it are two different things altogether. So I urge you to buy this album (there's also a bonus 10-minute video in the album!)and I can assure you that it may just be one of the best CDs you'll ever buy (I know it IS, in my case). Give each song a chance for every single one of them has a deep meaning and when you've finished listening to the whole album, you'll find that a speck of Ricky Martin's life has been given to us to treasure--and that's what makes him an extraordinary singer...for he also tells a story--his life.
Trust me, buying this album is an investment you definitely won't regret. Before this album, I never really knew if Ricky Martin could sing as well as he could dance...but this album has erased all doubts about him as a singer. A fantastic singer he is indeed.
