Need....more....Wolfe....

The first book I read by Tom Wolfe was The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test about Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. This book although by the same author is not documentary in style. Based in Atlanta and focusing some on racial tensions and modern times I liked this book because of the basic elements of all good suspense novels, cliffhangers at the end of each chapter and different story lines converging later in the book. I have only read the two fore-mentioned books by Wolfe but with this one I was very impressed.
His writing style is among the best in modern authors. It goes along with that of Grisham and Crichton except for that it is more distinguished rather than try to explain everything to you as if you were a child and not able to read an 800 page book. To readers of this novel I would also recommend Bonfire of the Vanities and The Right Stuff. The one downside I had to this book was that it had to end. That meant I would have to find another book that I didn't want to put down. Thumbs up.
