K66 Yes! The best among budget headphone.

Date of Review: Aug 18, 2004

I first heard the K55 in Singapore's Esplanade library, and the K55 works extremely well, with a Pioneer car stereo set. It's musicality would probably put many higher end gears to shame. so is the K66. I do owned some very good headphone, such as the AKG 271 Studio, the K501, the Sennheiser, HD 560 Ovation II, 570 and 580 and a cheap Grado SR-60. If you compare the K66 with these very fine headphones, it lacks refinement of all the above, if you compare it with Sennheiser, the Sennheiser, generally sounded "sweeter", however, the K66 sounded more "real" !. Perhaps my K66 still needs more time to have it completely broken in. It also sounded a little "plastic-tary". But if you don't compare it with other cans. No doubts it's very good on it's own accord. Despite having so many headphones, I bought one for my bedroom, listen to good music before I sleep.

Recommended to buy: Yes

Pros
Musical ! comfortable, accurate, works well with discman
Cons
It would be more comfortable if it had the ear pad like the K501.
