There is no such thing as the perfect juicer

We're new to juicing but we love the Omega 8005 Nutrition Center. It extracts most of the juice from vegetables and fruits. The pulp is quite dry. Cleanup and assembly are quick and easy (we wouldn't use it if it were not). It is quiet. It is MUCH less expensive than similar juicers, juices just about everything, and has an extremely long warranty (10 years).

It is pretty simple to use, but the manual could have been a bit more complete (no list of included parts, no diagram of how to assemble (luckily it is pretty easy to do by looking at the picture on the box) but the instructions on how to juice (or extrude) do tell you what attachments you need to use for each function).

Since it is a low RPM juicer it is rather slow compared to the centrifugal juicers, but you still can juice 6-8 medium carrots in a couple of minutes. The low RPM makes it extremely quiet.

The feed tube is large enough for most carrots, but you've got to cut the average apple into eighths go get them in.

Overall we love the Omega 8005. It is simple enough for beginners, convenient enough for busy people, and claims to do many advanced things (like make nut butters, pasta, etc.) which we haven't had the chance to try yet.
