Killing Sprees, Romance, Illness, Drama: 1st to Die Starts a New Series

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: I enjoyed this book for it's varying elements and fast pace. I hope that there will be more books to come in this series!
Review: In February 2003, I caught the beginning of the made-for-tv movie based on James Patterson's book, 1st to Die. Although I didn't make it very far into the movie, the plot caught my interest, and I checked for the book at my library. I was unable to...

Can I turn the pages ANY faster??

Date of Review:  Mar 9, 2002
The Bottom Line: Murder, chic crime solvers, romance...crime solved..what else do you need? Could have had a better ending, in my opinion - but still a definite "can't put it down" book!
Review: This book was the first James Patterson book that I read. I just happen to pick it up because the back of the book sounded good.

Well, it normally takes me a good month to make it all the way through a book. I usually get bored very fast,...

1st To Die Launches A New Series For Patterson

Date of Review:  Jul 4, 2007
The Bottom Line: Want a page turning book for the summer? Come join the Ladies Murder Club. One of the most unique series on news stands.
Review: James Patterson has never been one of my favorite authors. Having read some of his earlier works years ago, I put the author aside for other authors whom, at the time, I felt were better writers. But over the last few years, my daughter has become...

THE BRIDES ALL WORE BLOOD RED

Date of Review:  Feb 15, 2002
The Bottom Line: Once again James Patterson has captured the suspense in a great thriller that will not let you put it down.
Review: A person?s wedding day is suppose to be the happiest day of their life. The time after, referred to as the ?Honeymoon? is intended to be a time of togetherness, fun and romance. In ?1ST TO DIE?., a brilliant thriller by James Patterson, three...

Patterson Is Back With A New Series

Date of Review:  May 1, 2001
The Bottom Line: Go out and pick this book up. This new series of Patterson's shows great promise.
Review: 1st To Die, James Patterson?s latest release, has surely put him back ?in good? with some of his loyal readers who were extremely disappointed with his last novel, Roses Are Red, in which the ending of that novel upset many readers. I too was upset...

I've been ripped off

Date of Review:  Jun 23, 2002
The Bottom Line: Avoid this book if you're into stories with substance.
Review: I really feel ripped off here. What a complete waste of money. Even in San Francisco, a quartet of wimpy sobbing crimefighters does not make for a good story, or even an average one. Unless of course you prefer to season your suspension of disbelief...

1st To Die - A Great Read!

Date of Review:  Jun 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: 1st To Die is a great murder mystery and I highly recommend it, especially for summer reading.
Review: James Patterson introduces us to a woman who is on the edge, literally.

The story takes us back to show us how she has ended up feeling lost and ready to call it quits.

Lindsey Boxer is a detective who while trying to crack an...

1st To Die..First in Another Mystery/Thriller Series

Date of Review:  May 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: I will recommend 1st To Die for its fast paced, action packed thrill a minute read, although I disliked the twist on the end.
Review: If you have ever read my profile page, you will know that without a doubt, I am a staunch James Patterson fan. In fact, I am his number one fan!! Therefore, I am the first to admit that I have been disappointed in some of Patterson's more recent...

Fast, Furious and Forgettable

Date of Review:  Apr 9, 2001
The Bottom Line: For a day or two of escape reading, this is a very fast paced interesting book. I recommend it.
Review: I have always liked the works of James Patterson. It is sort of funny. I have read many of his books, and they have always been the kind I've been loath to put down - even to sleep, work on my income taxes, or clean the kitchen after supper. Yet,...

Like It? I'm Not Sure...

Date of Review:  May 10, 2001
The Bottom Line: Overall it's still a good way to spend a few evenings
Review: Why is it with many of James Patterson's books, I have to think about whether I liked it or not? When I first completed 1st to Die, I didn't think I liked it. The ending seemed to be following a typical path, so he rushed to put a twist on it hoping...
