Good, start, but...

Date of Review:  Jun 15, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you like the genre, I suggest picking up this book only because it is the beginning of the series. It may get better.
Review: I stayed up late last night to finish this book my mother recommended to me, 1st to Die. She knows how much I enjoy Patricia Cornwell's books, and this was similar. Main character? A female police detective. Side characters? Female medical examiner...

This Is A Murder Club?

Date of Review:  Feb 7, 2003
The Bottom Line: Looking for something that'll make the train rides home flash by a lot quicker? This is it.
Review: I was going to write that I'd never read a James Patterson book before, but then I realized I'd checked out his attempt at a romance, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, last year...which I guess says something about what I thought about my first...

The Bottom Line: This one will not disappoint.
Review: Hello. My name is Kim and I am a huge James Patterson fan. This is something that I have never bothered to hide and am always on the lookout for his books whenever I am browsing through the bookstore. So it's no wonder that I picked up this book...

Never trust the "Staff Recommend's" list.

Date of Review:  Aug 24, 2001
The Bottom Line: Don't pay full price...it's not worth it... but if you are looking for something to pass the time on a long drive this will suffice.
Review: I spend about three hours a day on the road. Talk radio gets tiring pretty quick so I dropped by my favorite Barnes and Nobel to look at the books on CD (I detest cassettes). I was in luck..a new shipment had just arrived! I scanned the...

Excellent commuting material

Date of Review:  Apr 30, 2002
The Bottom Line: Fast, furious, and fun. Fun in the sense that an avid reader will gobble this up like a Thanksgiving Turkey!!
Review: Hmmmmm...... My first review in "Books". Well, let me begin by stating that "1st to die" was my first James Patterson book. That being the case, I was able to read the novel without screaming in my head..."WHERE'S ALEX CROSS??" (I overheard some...

The Bottom Line: a great, fast-paced read that will keep you guessing. A must read for Patterson lovers.
Review: 1st to Die is author Jame's Patterson's latest release. It kicks off his newest, upcoming series and from reading this book it's guaranteed to be a good one. If you enjoyed the Alex Cross series you will enjoy this book and should get into this...

Great Book...First in Women's Murder Club Series

Date of Review:  May 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: Great weekender book to read.
Review: This book was a great start to a new series by James Patterson. The book was like some of Patterson's other books as far as the quick chapters and page turners. This book is however unique because it provides another look at crime scene...

A Wedding Day In Hell: 1st To Die

Date of Review:  Feb 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: This is the first book in a new series by James Patterson
Review: I finished reading 1st To Die about two weeks ago and am currently reading the follow up, 2nd Chance. The third book in the series, 3rd Degree, just came out. Now, that I've got that off my chest, let me tell you how much of a thrill it was to read...

Hello Lindsay, Goodbye Alex!

Date of Review:  Jun 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: Simply put it is about time Patterson moved on to new series and this one is a hit.

Ist to Die

Date of Review:  Mar 13, 2002
The Bottom Line: Do not read...trash, trash, trash. Is there somewhere where I can get a refund for the cost of the book and the time I spent reading it?
Review: The only reason to read this book is to enjoy once again a story set in San Francisco. Otherwise, stay far away from this trite piece of trash.

It reads worse than 'Pearl Harbor' was to watch... superficial characters in an entirely...
