Product Description

 
WH-2 package consists of two bipolar rear speakers and a centre channel for adding to your existing front stereo speakers to produce a multi-channel system with ideal characteristics for Home Cinema and multi-channel music - without the need to trade-in your beloved stereo speakers. Bipolar means that both sets of drive units respond in phase (at exactly the same time). With a pair of these mounted on a rear wall, the inner set of drive units provides a direct stereo image, whereas the other set of drive units, fires towards and bounces off the wall. This provides the ambient sound and creates a sense of space and openness around the subject.

Wharfedale WH-2 Center Channel Speaker performs in a small space and leaves your checkbook happy.

The Bottom Line: Easy to recommend for those on a tight budget, or those who have limited space. Good sound quality and seems well-built.

The Bottom Line: Great little surround speakers for not much money. There is certainly better out there, but if you are on a budget and have difficult mounting circumstances these are teriffic!
Review: It's important to note that the WH-2 line from Wharfedale includes a 10" powered subwoofer and a shielded Center as well as the product I'm reviewing here, the Bipolar Surrounds.

The Bottom Line: Affordable, excellent build and audio quality. An easy recommendation for low-mid level systems.
Review: Bipole surround speakers are sort of like two speakers in one. Triangular, both sides facing outward have their own speaker, resulting in a wider dispersion of sound, better imaging and immersion. Almost always, these speakers cost a pretty penny...
