Simple complexity

The Bottom Line: The Stone Diaries is a wonderfully written book that provides many thought provoking layers within a good old fashioned story.
Review: I have never read one of Carol Shield's novels. I spotted it at the library as I scanned the paperbacks for my first batch of "free reading". I didn't have anything in mind, just something interesting. Little did I realize how interesting my choice...
