John Steinbeck's The Pearl; I'm Happy I Did Not Read it While In School

The Bottom Line: A simply written short story that can easily be dissected finding deeper meaning. It's a winner, but I didn't have to say that.
Review: I was never a good student and I refused to read assigned books when in school. I remember the class that discussed this book, The Pearl, but I was in another world when that analysis took place.
