Product Description

 
This CBS television series, which ran from 1986-1993, details the comedic ups and downs of an Atlanta interior design firm. Run by strong-willed Julia Sugarbaker (Dixie Carter), the firm is the setting for the squabbles and personal struggles experienced by her, her shallow, former beauty queen sister (Delta Burke), divorced Mary Jo (Annie Potts), simple country girl Charlene (Jean Smart), and ex-con delivery man Anthony (Meshach Taylor). Includes 5 episodes: "Pilot," "Killing All the Right People," "Reservations for Eight," "Big Haas and Little Falsie," and "They Shoot Fat Women, Don't They?"

A tasty teaser!

The Bottom Line: I would recommend getting this DVD because it is a good collection from a great show and there are currently no plans for full season releases.

The Bottom Line: Buy it or rent it and see what you think. There arent many shows, but the five that were picked were quality.
Review: The Designing Women DVD was fairly disappointing although I enjoyed the series as a whole and watched it as it ran for a number of seasons. The tv show is still on lifetime on weekday mornings from 8:30-9:00 in the morning. I bought this at Borders...
