after an hour audition, a bit disappointed....

The Bottom Line: It is not worth $499, especially when the release of Blu-ray universal players is around the corner.
Review: I currently own DVP-NS975V unit which has been a good universal player except for its known firmware bugs (i.e. sudden tray-lock and very slow responses) in its earlier production run. Needless to say, my unit had to be serviced and now it is...

The Bottom Line: If you don't care about the the aesthetics, functional and remote issues, the picture and sound are very good.
Review: Good-Great picture with HDMI but... Sony cheaped out a little for an ES piece. All the new silver ES pieces to this point had the new embossed SONY logo on the front panel which was very cool. Sony as per usual decided to mix and match, and slapped...
