Product Description

 
Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) is a private investigator who works as part of a security team in the palatial mansion of millionaire businessman Robin Masters. Using his luxurious surroundings as his base, Magnum runs a daily battle with various criminals as he seeks to track them down and report their illicit activities. However, he also faces a constant battle with the caretaker of Masters' estate, Jonathan Higgins (John Hillerman), particularly when Magnum zooms off in the 308 GTS Ferrari that has been left at his disposal! It all adds up to an action packed show from the early 1980s that manages to capture much of the fashion and excesses of the decade. This release presents the first season in its entirety, with Selleck masterful as the mustachioed P.I. throughout!

Just like popcorn...

The Bottom Line: The series started out strong in the first season. This set is very entertaining and offers some dandy bonus material, to boot.
Review: I'm amazed there aren't a ton of reviews for this DVD set here at Epinions. Magnum, P.I. was one of the top shows of the 1980s, after all, and this set sells like crazy over at Amazon.com. You'd think Magnum, P.I. - The Complete First Season would...

Every Guy's Dream Life

The Bottom Line: Relive the 80's through what was probably the best TV series for guys.
Review: Okay...the concept was a bit far-fetched: A former decorated Navy Seal resigns from the military, impresses a famous novelist and is given free reign to live on the novelist's seashore estate in Hawaii. Yeah...it's a tough life. Did I mention that...
