Product Description

After a twelve-year hiatus, Bruce Willis is back as New York City detective John McClane, who still plays by his own set of rules. Following DIE HARD (1988), DIE HARDER (1990), and DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE (1995), the fourth installment in the popular action series stars DEADWOOD's Timothy Olyphant as Thomas Gabriel, an evil mastermind who is determined to bring down the entire infrastructure of the United States on Independence Day, sending the country into anarchy and chaos. Joining him on his mission of destruction is the elegant Mai, played by Maggie Q from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III. McClane becomes involved when he gets caught in the crossfire while transporting prisoner Matt Farrell (Justin Long, most well known as the mac in a series of computer commercials), a hacker extraordinaire who is the perfect complement to the old-school McClane, who eschews cell phones, computers, and doing anything the easy way. But when Gabriel kidnaps McClane's daughter, Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead, from the DEATH PR...

Live Free or Die Hard - Yippee-Ki-Yay, they put all the bad words back in!

Date of Review:  Mar 5, 2008
The Bottom Line: The bottom line careened through the city sending street carts flying and driving on sidewalks without hitting a soul and then thwarted the baddies by exerting its incredible machismo. Whew!
Review: I need to express my love ..for the DVD. Yes, yes, I do enjoy seeing movies on the big screen, but the DVD gives me so much. It gives me the freedom to watch from my own comfy living room and eat far less expensive snacks. It allows me to pause to...

Live Free or Die Hard ---- Bruce Willis is back to defend America

Date of Review:  Jun 29, 2007
The Bottom Line: This was an excellent action film that I recommend anyone who is a fan of the genre see in the theater.
Review: Die Hard 4 (Live Free or Die Hard) brings back Bruce Willis in his most famous role as New York police detective John McClane. When last we saw him, he was thwarting an attempt to raid the gold in Federal Reserve, but this time he may just have his...

"You just killed a helicopter with a car!"

Date of Review:  Nov 21, 2008
The Bottom Line:

If you're watching this with kids, the theatrical PG-13 version is still good, but for true fans of the series, the Unrated edition is the one to see!

Review: In 1988, 20th Century Fox introduced us to New York Police Detective John McClane (Bruce Willis), a wise-cracking, sardonic, yet likable Everyman-like cop who is "at the wrong place at the wrong time" and facing off almost single-handedly bands of...

Professional Reviews

(09/01/2007, p.56, Angie Errigo): 3 stars out of 5 -- "The appealing essence is still Willis' wisecracking, extraordinarily tough 'ordinary guy'....His relish for a cat-and-mouse engagement is undiminished."
