As a DVD Player, the DR-M1 is more than adequate, with excellent overall clarity. JVC's new recorder also has a lot going for it, especially when you consider the street price.

A flawed Genius?

The Bottom Line: So many good alternatives. No reason to take a chance on a 'faulty' model.

Far too Unreliable. Not worth the risk.
 

Faulty Product

The Bottom Line: This unit has quality control problems that outweigh any positives in performance.
Review: These units have a well documented "Loading Bug" problem. Search videohelp.com or avsforum.com to verify. After as little as a few days, the "Loading" message flashes on screen intermittently, each time wiping the disk clean. The frequency increases...
