The Omni unit can read both bar code and magnetic stripe media (on combo models). The Omni scans bar codes printed on paper, card stock, or plastic. The Omni reads up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. The USB interface option emulates a keyboard, for use where sharing a PS/2 keyboard port is not possible.
