Good choice for budget minded

The Bottom Line: Great picture/sound quality in 1 to 4 hour range, cheap, descent editing in VR mode, instant record-no delay, has extra audio outs for sound system.
Review: The #1 complaint I have seen about this unit is that it will only record on 1x-4x disks, so know that before you go out and buy a stack of 100 8x disks and wonder what the *@#! you re doing wrong. I bought an Emerson EWR10D4 and a Lite-On LVW 5005...

The Bottom Line: These are less expensive than other brands but have more problems. It will only last a month before breaking. Put in the extra and buy a better brand.
