Escape 2005 - Stronger, Sleeker and Quieter

Pros: Quieter , Zippy , Better Looking.
Cons: Teeny gas tank. wacky stereo controls. Not for heavy offroad use.
The Bottom Line: Definitely worth a look for min-SUV seekers. probably not #1 in any single attribute , but a good all-round solid vehicle.

Great TALL Family Vehicle

Pros: TALL, reliable, stylish, easy-riding, economical little SUV.
Cons: It's not a little Land Rover.
The Bottom Line: Chances are you'll find a lot to like about a 2005 Ford Escape ... especially if you're a very TALL driver.

With the competition stronger than ever, are the revisions for 2005 enough?

Pros: Distinctive character among car-based SUVs, styling, steering, efficient packaging
Cons: Feels tippier than shorter competitors, no longer the quickest, smallish front seats
The Bottom Line: The least car-like of compact car-based SUVs, and I wouldn't want it any other way. What you see is what you get.
