Discovering a New Dr. Seuss: Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?

The Bottom Line: Be thankful for the life you've got...it could always be something you're not.
Review: I grew up reading certain Dr. Seuss books. My favorites were Bartholomew and the Oobleck and I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sellew. Imaginative and sometimes frightening, they were interesting books, bizarre and different from everything else out...

Didn't Know You Had It So Good, Did You?

The Bottom Line: The rhyming and nonsense words make it so fun to read that you won't notice the length much at all!
Review: This book will have you thanking your lucky stars that you are you and not someone in a worse predicament. I love the sing song Dr. Seuss books! The rhyming flowing text makes for a great read aloud book. A lovely addition to any library storytime...

A book to help children recognize the good things in their lives.

I appreciate this book on two levels. On one level it is simply a silly fun children's book in classic Seuss style - funny rhymes and silly pictures. On the second level this book is teaching children that they should be thankful for the good things in their lives instead of whining about how good everyone else has it. It points out that however unlucky you may feel some people are muchly much much more unlucky than you. Pros: Good lesson, Fun pictures, Seuss's terrific rhymes
