This digital projector is the ideal solution for those looking for a ton of features at a feel-good price. The PB6100 can be used for a number of applications including classrooms, boardrooms, and even basic home theater systems. With a 2000:1 contrast ratio at 1,500 ANSI lumens and SVGA resolution, the PB6100 gives you more. The PB6100 also utilizes proprietary BenQ video-processing technology to support the latest DLP(tm) chip set from Texas Instruments. It is HDTV-compatible (480p, 720p and 1080i) with direct YPbPr/component (through VGA port), S-Video and composite video inputs. The new DDR DLP chipsets produce flawless pictures that wont fade or degrade over time, and the optical engine lifetime exceeds 100,000 hours while maintaining the images original clarity. .

3 year report: solid performer but getting dim

The Bottom Line: I can definitely recommend BENQ projectors for home theatre. However as with any projector, get it professionally installed and calibrated to fully appreciate it.
Review: I bought this projector as a refurb "boxing day" special from NCIX for under $500 in December 2004, along with an inexpensive 120" diagonal 4:3 pull-down screen.
