Product Description

 
The Brother MFC-5840cn lets you send faxes and make prints, copies, and scans in grayscale or color, and it walks you through tweaking the image quality, the number of copies, and the print-sorting order. A bank of media-card slots on the machine's front panel lets you print photos without using your PC or Mac; the text LCD menu can print an index sheet or specific photos by number, and you can even adjust the brightness and the contrast, the white balance, the sharpness, and the color density of your images. You can set the printer to crop larger photos to fit on a smaller page and make borderless prints.

Not What I Expected...

The Bottom Line: Avoid this one and possibly Brother in general...
Review: Most of these reviews are for two months of use, this is the long haul, just passed the two year mark, a rough two years at that! Bought this model as it was network capable, cheap and had separate. The first machine was replaced under warranty...

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an inexpensive MFC (print/scan/copy/fax) that can network (scan/print) to all your computers and basically get the job done... I highly recommend it!
Review: UPDATE: I think there is better technology out there today since this review was written a while ago but I still stand by my comments for when it was written.

The greatest All-in-one for the price!!!

Review: I love this ALL-In-One! I got it from Newegg.com fastest shipping ever!! I paid only 189.00 + 9.75 s/h. This is my second one, the first one(MFC-7300C) I bought on Christmas 01" it was slow, and I would get paper jams, ink errors all the time.. but...
