Introduced in 1982,the Atari 2600 is primarily black with no woodgrain, and otherwise looks like the VCS CX2600A. It came packaged in a silver box with two joysticks and two pack-in games (Combat and Pac-Man), and is also found in a more compact silver box without the games and with only one joystick.

The key to retro gaming

The Bottom Line: Have you played your Atari today? I've owned one of these since 1981 and I still play it. It may pale to today's system, but it has its charms.
Review: I'm not even going to try debating the merits of this machine as this thing is absolutely puny when compared with the polygon-pushing video game consoles out there today. In fact, anyone who think an old console is a Sega Genesis or a Sony...

Atari 2600- not much to it

Review: There really isn't much to this system, so this will be a short review.
The system- The 2600 is a big console, bigger then the NES.
The controller- Just a stiff joystick with a button. I prefer to use the Sega Genesis controller.

wvelting Store I have the following items up for sale: European Atari 2600 Pal B System - As New In Box This is an import European model of the Atari 2600 as new in box. This is a Pal B format and includes a 220V power supply. This system is meant for collecting, not playing. I had imported a few of these back in the mid '90s and have decided to sell this. All of them were new in box as this one. I included pictures of one of mine that I had opened. I'm not sure if the game is included in this
